Most recently, Toni served as the head of lower elementary (TK–2) at a local Los Angeles school, where she led her team through the challenges of pandemic-era learning. She previously taught at elementary schools in San Francisco and the Washington, D.C. area. Over the past five years, she has trained in Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop, Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI), Responsive Classroom, and Mindfulness practices, and has served as a visiting committee member for WASC/WCEA accreditation reviews.
Toni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Allegheny College and earned her teaching credential through a graduate-level program at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
Outside the classroom, she is the proud mother of an inquisitive, strong-willed, and joyful two-year-old daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, park, and local farmers’ market.
Toni is honored to serve on the board at Sycamore Community School and is thrilled to support this exceptionally talented group of educators as they pursue their passion.
