Nour Gemayel
3rd Grade Homeroom Teacher
Nour Gemayel was born in France and raised in the United States (NJ, OH, MA, FL) and Portugal. She earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations and comparative studies and received her master’s degree in teaching from the University of Southern California. Ms. Gemayel previously taught second grade for six years and first grade for four years. She is excited to be teaching third grade at Sycamore Community School this coming academic year!
Having moved frequently as a child, Ms. Gemayel deeply valued the role her teachers played in helping her integrate, form friendships, and thrive academically. She believes that when students feel valued, they are empowered to blossom. Ms. Gemayel views students as intrinsically motivated, curious, and thoughtful. Her goal is to harness that natural drive to make learning fun, exploratory, and continuous, encouraging students to form meaningful connections between the classroom and the world around them.
Outside of teaching, Ms. Gemayel enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, writing, being outdoors, playing the flute, and baking. She looks forward to a wonderful year ahead!
