Brett Schneid grew up in Santa Monica and later attended The Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in world history. He went on to earn a master’s degree in elementary education from Arizona State University. During his graduate studies, he earned teaching credentials in elementary education, English, social studies, and reading literacy. Brett has been in education for three years, teaching grades three through eight in a variety of subjects at Calvary Christian School. He is very excited to begin a new chapter at Sycamore Community School.

His teaching philosophy centers on educating students beyond the classroom, fostering strong relationships, and encouraging creativity in the learning environment each day.

Outside of the classroom, Brett loves to travel, surf, hike, camp, and try anything that gets him outdoors. He has visited four of the seven continents and enjoys exploring new cities and all things ocean-related. He’s also a passionate baseball fan and can’t wait to see the Dodgers win another World Series!
